Purpose and Compatibility

This 12V 5A adapter delivers up to 60W for LED strips, 3D printers, CCTV cameras, routers and similar DC devices. The 5.5mm x 2.1mm barrel plug also fits 5.5mm x 2.5mm jacks, and the 2.3m cord gives flexible placement for indoor installations.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Constant-voltage regulation prevents spikes during long printing or recording sessions. Automatic overload cut-off, over-voltage cut-off and thermal cut-off engage before components overheat, and the unit recovers automatically once the fault clears.

Thermals, Noise and Power Draw

High-efficiency switching keeps operating temperature low without a fan, so the adapter runs silently. The flame-retardant plastic shell resists heat, and the design is rated for more than 80000 hours of continuous indoor use.

Questions about this item

Does the 60 W supply stay cool and quiet when it runs 24 hours a day?

The unit is rated for high temperature resistance and a lifespan of more than 80000 hours, with automatic thermal cut-off to prevent overheating during continuous use.

My device uses a 5.5 mm × 2.1 mm barrel jack — will this adapter fit without an extra cable?

The output plug is 5.5 mm × 2.5 mm and is compatible with 5.5 mm × 2.1 mm jacks, so it connects directly.

Will this 12 V 5 A brick safely power an older CCTV camera that only specifies 12 V 2 A?

Yes — the supply delivers up to 5 A at 12 V with overload and short-circuit protection, so a 2 A camera will draw only what it needs.
