Professional closed-back headphones

The Austrian Audio Hi-X15 are closed-back over-ear headphones built for studio recording, stage monitoring, rehearsal rooms and home listening. They suit musicians, engineers and commuters who need reliable isolation and a folding design that survives daily transport.

High-Excursion driver technology

Proprietary High-Excursion technology delivers low total harmonic distortion at lower frequencies and a clear, precise sound across the spectrum. The 15 ohm impedance allows direct connection to audio interfaces, smartphones and portable devices without a dedicated amplifier.

Durable folding construction

A metal hinge and foldable frame withstand repeated packing and unpacking on tour or in a bag. Soft memory-foam earpads maintain comfort during extended sessions, while the detachable 4.6 foot cable and included 1/4 inch adapter keep the system serviceable in professional environments.

Questions about this item

How does the closed-back design affect sound in a real studio or stage setting?

The closed construction and good insulation block outside noise and prevent sound leakage, making the Hi-X15 reliable for tracking, stage monitoring and rehearsal rooms where isolation matters.

What devices can the low-impedance design and detachable 4.6' cable with 1/4" adapter actually drive?

Low impedance suits a wide range of sources — audio interfaces, smartphones, laptops and portable recorders — so you can plug straight in without a dedicated headphone amp.

Will the folding mechanism and metal hinge survive daily packing in a gig bag?

The foldable construction and durable all-metal hinge are built for rough handling; the headphones collapse into the included carry pouch for compact transport.
