12-Axis Through-Beam Area Sensor

The Autonics BWP20-12 is a through-beam area sensor with 12 optical axes spaced at a 20mm pitch. It detects objects across a sensing distance of 0.1 to 5m using an 850nm infrared LED light source. The unit operates on a 12-24VDC power supply and provides an NPN open collector output configurable for Light ON or Dark ON operation via a switch.

This sensor suits automated production lines, packaging equipment and safety guarding where a multi-axis light curtain is required to monitor a defined area. Buyers needing a diffuse-reflective or retro-reflective sensing method should look elsewhere, as this model uses through-beam detection only.
