Incremental rotary encoder delivering 60 pulses per revolution with NPN open-collector output on a 12-24 VDC supply
The Autonics E40S6-60-3-N-24 is an incremental rotary encoder with a resolution of 60 pulses per revolution. It uses an NPN open collector output driven from a 12-24VDC supply. The unit suits engineers and technicians who need precise angular measurement for motion-control or automation tasks.
The encoder delivers a maximum response frequency of 300kHz and tolerates shaft speeds up to 5000rpm. Starting torque is limited to 40gf·cm (0.00392N·m). The IP50 housing protects against dust but not water ingress, and the radial cable exits the side of the body.
Verify that your controller accepts NPN open collector signals and can supply 12-24VDC within the ±5% ripple allowance. Confirm the 6mm shaft diameter matches your coupling or mounting arrangement. Ensure the 60 pulses per revolution resolution meets the positional accuracy your application requires.

The 60 P/R resolution gives 60 pulses per revolution; choose a higher P/R only if you need finer position steps than this model provides.
It limits the usable speed to about 5000 rpm; beyond that the output pulses can no longer be reliably distinguished.
The NPN output pulls the signal low, so an external pull-up resistor is required; the supply accepts 12 to 24 VDC with a 5 % ripple limit.
