Controls two computers with one keyboard, mouse, and dual monitors at up to 8K@30Hz or 4K@144Hz via DisplayPort 1.4, plus four USB 3.0 ports, push-button or wired remote switching
This DisplayPort 1.4 KVM switch lets one keyboard, mouse and four USB 3.0 peripherals control two desktops or laptops across two monitors. It supports extended and copy display modes so each screen can show different content or mirror the same image. Driver-free operation works with Windows, Linux and Mac. A wired remote and front-panel buttons both change the active computer.
The unit replaces a basic single-head KVM or a hub limited to USB 2.0 speeds, adding a second DisplayPort output and four 5 Gbps USB ports. The jump is worthwhile when you need simultaneous dual-screen workflows on two machines without unplugging cables. It also removes the need for a separate USB hub and extra video cables.
Each DisplayPort 1.4 channel handles 8K at 30 Hz or 4K at 144 Hz and is backward compatible with 1.2 sources such as 4K 60 Hz or 1440p 60 Hz. Mixed-resolution inputs are supported, so one computer can run 4K 60 Hz while the other runs a lower mode. The switch requires no external power adapter unless a laptop dock cannot supply enough current. Buyers whose PCs cannot drive two displays natively will not gain dual-screen output from this device.

The unit is 7 by 5 by .8 inches and weighs 1 pound; each included DisplayPort 1.4 and USB 3.0 cable is 1.5 m or 4.9 ft, so allow room for the box plus cable bend radius behind the monitors.
Connect both DP 1.4 cables from each computer to the switch, link the two monitors to the switch outputs, then verify each PC drives two displays directly before routing through the KVM — otherwise extended mode will not appear.
The remote and panel button are mechanical with no rated cycle count; replace if switching becomes unreliable or the two-colour LED no longer shows the active PC.
