Product Identity

The AUTYUE AC650 is a USB 3.0 wireless adapter that adds dual-band Wi-Fi 5 connectivity to a desktop or laptop. It delivers up to 650 Mbps link rate using 802.11ac and includes two 5 dBi antennas adjustable to 90° or 180°.

Suitability

This adapter suits Windows XP through 11 users who need a simple way to join 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz networks and want the option to create a Soft AP hotspot from a wired PC. It is not for buyers who require a newer Wi-Fi generation than Wi-Fi 5, nor for systems that lack a compatible Windows version or an available USB 3.0 port.

Deciding Specification

The single figure that determines fit is the AC650 class: 433 Mbps on 5 GHz and 200 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, which sets the maximum throughput ceiling for any connection this device can make.
