Dual-Monitor KVM Switch for Two Computers

This HDMI matrix connects two computers to two shared displays and lets you copy or extend the desktop across both screens. It includes a USB 3.0 hub for two peripherals and a 3.5 mm audio output for speakers or headphones. The unit draws power from the USB link so no separate adapter is needed.

HDMI 2.0 Bandwidth and Display Limits

The switch passes 4K at 60 Hz and 1080p at 144 Hz through HDMI 2.0b with HDCP 2.3 compliance. Each computer must already support dual-monitor output; the device cannot add a second video port to a single-output laptop. Bandwidth is shared across the matrix, so driving both outputs at maximum refresh simultaneously may reduce available throughput.

Push-Button, Hotkey and IR Switching

You change the active computer with front-panel buttons, keyboard hotkeys or the supplied infrared remote. The remote needs a AAA battery which is not included. USB 3.0 peripheral switching is near-instant, though some wireless keyboard dongles may need a moment to re-enumerate after a swap. The semi-DDM USB mode improves compatibility with gaming mice and keyboards.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 2-computer or 4-input matrix mode for my dual-monitor setup?

The unit handles both: use it as a 2×2 KVM to share keyboard, mouse and two monitors between two computers, or as a 4×2 matrix to route four HDMI sources to the same two displays.

What does 4K 60 Hz actually deliver on my monitors?

You get 3840×2160 at 60 Hz with RGB 4:4:4 colour, plus support for 1080p at 144 Hz or 120 Hz on compatible screens.

Does the HDMI 2.0b and HDCP 2.3 interface limit HDR or high-refresh signals?

HDMI 2.0b caps video at 4K 60 Hz 4:4:4; HDR and higher refresh rates above 60 Hz at 4K are not supported, but 1080p 144 Hz works within the bandwidth.
