Triple-Monitor 8K KVM Switch

The AUTYUE KC-8223 lets one keyboard and mouse control two computers across three HDMI monitors. It targets users who run dual-PC workflows such as development plus streaming, or separate work and personal machines, and need simultaneous high-resolution output on three displays. The switch handles 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 144 Hz without driver installation. It is not suited for setups requiring more than two computer ports or wireless peripheral pairing.

Build Integration: Cabling and Power Needs

Each connected computer must supply three HDMI 2.1 cables and one USB 3.0 cable to reach the switch. The unit draws power from an included 12 V DC adapter, freeing the host USB ports from charging duties. Four downstream USB 3.0 ports — three Type-A and one Type-C — share keyboards, mice, printers or scanners at up to 5 Gbps. Switching between PCs takes roughly eight seconds while the EDID is renegotiated.

Upgrade Path: From Dual-Monitor

This model replaces older two-monitor KVMs limited to 4K at 60 Hz or single-monitor switches that force cable swapping. The jump is worthwhile when a third display is needed for extended desktop space and the workflow demands 4K at 120 Hz or 144 Hz refresh rates. Buyers staying with one or two monitors, or whose displays top out at 1080p, will not use the extra bandwidth or the third HDMI output.

Questions about this item

How many USB 3.0 devices can the KC-8223 share between the two computers?

The switch provides four USB 3.0 ports — three USB-A and one USB-C — allowing both computers to share up to four peripherals such as keyboards, mice, printers or scanners without unplugging.

Does the unit run hot or make noise when left on all day?

The KC-8223 has no fan; it relies on passive cooling and draws power from the included 12 V adapter, so it stays silent and only warm to the touch during continuous operation.

What cables must I already own to connect both PCs to three monitors?

Each computer needs three HDMI cables plus one USB cable to the switch; with two PCs that totals six HDMI cables and two USB cables, none of which are included in the box.
