The jump is worth it when you need 4K@60Hz visual fidelity on the shared screen and 5 Gbps USB 3.0 throughput for drives or printers, while keeping the option to fall back to 4K@30Hz or 2560×1440@120Hz for older sources.

Fits a Build Around One HDMI Display

The switch needs a single HDMI monitor and a power adapter, both included in the box. Eight bundled USB 3.0 cables and one HDMI cable connect the host PCs directly. Front-panel buttons, a wired IR remote and an RS232 port give three switching paths, while LED indicators show the active port. It frees up desk space, reduces cable count and lets single-board computers, NAS boxes or retro consoles share the same console.
