Dual-Monitor KVM for Thunderbolt Laptops

The AUTYUE SW525 lets two Thunderbolt 3, 4 or 5 laptops share two DisplayPort monitors, a keyboard, mouse, wired network and SD cards through a single 12-in-1 dock. Each host needs only one Thunderbolt port; the switch handles video, data and peripherals without software drivers. Mac computers are limited to mirror mode and cannot span different content across the two screens.

Passive Cooling and External Power

The unit runs without fans, drawing power from the included adapter so it adds no audible noise to a desk. Video bandwidth reaches 4K at 120 Hz and steps down to 4K at 60 Hz, 2K at 144 Hz or 1080p as needed. USB 3.2 ports deliver up to 10 Gbps for flash drives, while the Gigabit Ethernet port tops out at 1000 Mbps for large downloads or updates.

Upgrade from Single-Screen or USB-C Only Switches

Users moving from a single-monitor KVM gain a second DisplayPort output and true extended-desktop switching on Windows. The jump is worth it when two Thunderbolt laptops must share high-refresh displays and fast USB peripherals simultaneously. Buyers whose laptops lack Thunderbolt 3 or higher, or who need Power Delivery charging, should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I install the SW525 and what step do people miss?

Connect each laptop with the included USB-C cables to the two upstream ports, link both monitors via DisplayPort, plug in the power adapter, then use the push button or wired remote to select the active computer — the step often missed is confirming each laptop port is Thunderbolt 3 or higher before connecting

What maintenance or replacement will the SW525 need later?

No scheduled maintenance is required; the unit has no user-serviceable parts, so only the supplied power adapter or USB-C cables would need replacement if they fail

What limit appears first during sustained use of the SW525?

The 1000Mbps Ethernet port and 10Gbps USB 3.2 bandwidth set the throughput ceiling, while the 4K120Hz video path remains stable within the specified resolution and refresh rates
