What this cable does

This two-pack provides 6.6 ft USB 3.0 Type-A male-to-female extension cables for charging and data transfer. Braided jackets and reinforced strain reliefs resist tangling and wear. Plug-and-play operation requires no drivers. Maximum rated throughput is 5,120 Mbps, with 3,200 Mbps typical in daily use.

Who it suits and who it does not

Desktop, laptop and printer users who need extra reach for keyboards, mice, flash drives, hard drives, hubs or gamepads will find the length and speed convenient. Buyers who require USB-C connectors, longer distances than 6.6 ft or bandwidth above 5 Gbps cannot use these cables.

The spec that decides fit

The connector gender is USB-A male to USB-A female, so the cable only extends existing USB-A ports. If your host or device uses a different connector shape, this pack will not connect them.

Questions about this item

Will this 6.6 ft USB 3.0 male-to-female cable work reliably with my older USB 2.0 keyboard and mouse?

Yes, the cable is backward compatible with USB 2.0 devices; it will carry data at up to 480 Mbps with those peripherals while still providing a firm, stable connection.

How can I verify the cable is delivering USB 3.0 speeds after I plug it in?

Connect a USB 3.0 flash drive or hard drive and check the transfer rate in your OS; sustained reads around 3,200 Mbps confirm the link is operating at the intended 5 Gbps specification.

The pack says 2 cables — does it include any adapters or power bricks, or is it just the two braided extension cords?

The box contains only the two 6.6 ft USB A male-to-female braided extension cables; no extra adapters, power supplies or driver discs are included.
