Sync 1 to Sync 3 conversion harness

This plug-and-play harness converts a 4-inch Sync 1 system to an 8-inch Sync 3 display. It references OE numbers HC3Z 19A387 B and HU5Z 19A387 A for direct replacement. Installation requires no cutting or splicing of the factory wiring. The kit is intended for vehicles originally equipped with automatic climate control.

Vehicles with Sync 1 and automatic climate

Suitable for owners upgrading compatible Ford or Lincoln models from 2013 through 2019 that have Sync 1 with Bluetooth calling and voice commands. Buyers with manual climate control need a separate adapter not included here. Vehicles without Sync 1 or those already running Sync 3 cannot use this harness.

Automatic climate control requirement

The harness functions only when the vehicle has factory automatic climate control. Manual climate systems require an additional adapter that is not part of this kit. Verifying this feature on the specific vehicle is the decisive step before purchase.
