Avantree Audikast 3 Dual Headphone Transmitter
The Avantree Audikast 3 connects TVs with Optical or 3.5mm AUX outputs to two Bluetooth headphones at once. It uses the QCC3056 chipset and supports aptX-Adaptive, aptX and SBC codecs for low-latency stereo sound. Power is drawn from any 5V USB source.
Households sharing one TV who want private listening
Couples or flatmates can watch together using separate headphones without disturbing others. Built-in volume buttons on the device itself solve the common problem of fixed-level Optical outputs that ignore the TV remote. Buyers whose TVs only offer HDMI ARC or eARC audio cannot use this transmitter.
Optical output must be set to PCM
When the TV is connected via Optical TOSLINK the audio format has to be configured as PCM or LPCM in the TV menu, otherwise no sound will pass through. The transmitter also works with 3.5mm AUX without this requirement. Headphones must support aptX-Adaptive or aptX to achieve the lowest latency.
