Fast Charging Performance

With a suitable USB-C PD charger the cables can take an iPhone 14 from 0 % to 50 % in roughly 30 minutes and to 60 % in the same window, after which the device enters trickle charge mode at 75 % to protect battery health. The specification notes that charging speeds are three times faster than a standard USB-A to Lightning cable. Heat during the rapid-charge phase is normal and managed by the phone’s own thermal controls.
