Avaya Fan Tray for ERS 5900

This fan tray is a cooling module built for the Avaya Ethernet Routing Switch 5900 series. It replaces or adds a fan unit to keep the chassis within safe thermal limits. Network operators who run ERS 5900 gear in standard rack airflow layouts use this part.

Back-to-front airflow for rack cooling

The tray moves air from the rear of the rack toward the front, matching a back-to-front cooling design. It handles the heat load of a fully populated ERS 5900 chassis under normal conditions. Deployments that require front-to-back airflow cannot use this unit.

Hot-swap tray for continuous operation

The tray slides into the switch chassis and locks with thumb screws, allowing replacement without powering down the system. Its metal frame and integrated connectors withstand repeated insertion cycles. No separate cabling or external power is required.
