The TRENDnet TC-KP48S is a 2U 19-inch rackmount patch panel with 48 blank keystone ports. It targets network installers and IT managers building structured cabling systems in server rooms or data cabinets. The shielded metal housing protects signal integrity in electrically noisy environments. Keystone jacks are sold separately for full customisation.

Build Integration Requirements

The panel mounts in a standard 19-inch rack using 2U of vertical space and accepts standard high-density keystone jacks. A numbered cable management bar and writable labels organise patch cords and simplify moves, adds and changes. Shielded housing reduces EMI and RFI noise without extra grounding hardware. Cat6A shielded keystone jacks complete the link for 10-gigabit copper runs.

Upgrade Context

This panel replaces fixed-port or unshielded panels when a project demands fully configurable, shielded Category 6A performance. The jump is worth it for new 10G backbone deployments or retrofit jobs where EMI protection and port density matter. It is not suited for installations that require pre-terminated ports or non-shielded keystone formats.
