Wireless HDMI converter for 1080p streaming

The AVer R1 wireless media converter transmits 1080p video at 60 Hz over 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands up to 165 ft in line of sight. It decodes 4K input and outputs full HD to monitors, projectors or TVs from laptops, PCs, set-top boxes or cameras. Plug-and-play operation requires no app, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi configuration.

Suits cable-free presentations

This converter fits users who need to mirror a laptop, STB or camera to a display without running HDMI cables across rooms. The LED status screen shows link, power and signal health at a glance. Buyers who need low-latency interactive gaming should look elsewhere because the manufacturer notes the link is not recommended for gaming. Obstacles such as walls will reduce the usable range.

165 ft line-of-sight range decides fit

The single specification that determines suitability is the 165 ft / 50 m maximum transmission distance in clear line of sight. If the source and display sit within that distance and a wired run is impractical, the R1 meets the need; longer runs or heavy obstruction require a different approach.

Questions about this item

What cables or adapters come with the AVer R1 and what must I supply myself?

The kit includes a transmitter, a receiver and power cables; you provide an HDMI source cable and an HDMI display cable.

The box lists 4K decode but 1080P@60Hz output — which mode should I select for my 1080p projector?

Choose the 1080P@60Hz setting; the receiver down-scales 4K input to 1080p at 60 Hz for the projector.

How does the 165 ft range hold up when the signal passes through a plasterboard wall?

In line of sight the link reaches 165 ft; a single plasterboard wall typically cuts usable distance to roughly half that.
