8K 60Hz HDMI Audio Extractor

The KEHIPI 8K 60Hz Black HDMI Audio Extractor Splitter separates audio from an HDMI source while passing video to a display. It suits installers and home-theatre owners who need digital optical, stereo analogue, or HDMI loop-out from consoles, streaming sticks, or Blu-ray players.

Extracted audio paths and EDID control

Bundled 5V/1A DC power adaptor ensures stable operation. The unit adds optical Toslink SPDIF and 3.5 mm stereo outputs with selectable PASS, 2.0CH, and 5.1CH EDID modes, letting the source match the connected sound system without manual reconfiguration.

Bandwidth headroom and resolution limits

HDMI 2.1 compliance delivers 48 Gbps bandwidth for 8K at 60 Hz, 4K at 120 Hz, 2K at 144 Hz, or 1080P at 240 Hz. HDCP 2.3 and VRR support maintain protected content playback. An HDMI 2.1 cable under 10 ft is required for 8K; longer runs or older cables drop to lower resolutions.

Questions about this item

Will the 5V 1A DC power adapter need replacing after extended use?

The extractor ships with a 5V 1A DC power adapter; like any external supply it may require replacement if the unit becomes unstable or the adapter fails.

What resolution limit appears first when the 48Gbps bandwidth ceiling is reached during long sessions?

The 48Gbps maximum bandwidth caps the signal at 8K 60Hz 4:4:4 or 4K 120Hz; pushing beyond those formats forces a drop to 4K 60Hz or lower chroma subsampling.

Does the metal enclosure stay cool enough for continuous 24-hour operation without fan noise?

The all-metal case passively dissipates heat from the HDMI 2.1 circuitry; it runs silently and stays within safe temperatures for round-the-clock use.
