High-Visibility Labels for Priority Messages

These Avery 5978 labels use assorted neon colours to make priority messages, warnings and colour-coded items stand out. The permanent adhesive keeps each rectangle label firmly attached to envelopes, packages or folders. They are designed for laser printers and suit office, warehouse or home mailing tasks. Buyers who need waterproof or removable labels will not find those features here.

Print Performance and Handling

The sheets feed through standard laser printers without special settings and the adhesive activates under normal fuser heat. Each sheet holds 10 labels and the pack contains 15 sheets for a total of 150 labels. No thermal-transfer ribbon or inkjet coating is required. Users who rely on inkjet-only media must choose a different product.

Free Templates and Customisation

Avery provides free design templates at avery.com/print that work with Microsoft Word and other common software. The templates let you add text, graphics or barcodes before printing. No proprietary software licence or subscription is needed. Customers who want pre-printed legends or specialised barcode sequences must arrange separate printing services.

Questions about this item

How do I load the 2" x 4" label sheets into my laser printer so the 10 labels per sheet print correctly?

Fan the 15 sheets before loading, place them in the printer's manual feed tray with the printable side facing the correct direction, and select the "Labels" or "Heavy Paper" media type in the driver to prevent misfeeds on the permanent adhesive.

Will the permanent adhesive on these neon labels degrade or require replacement over time?

The permanent adhesive is designed for a lasting bond on paper and cardboard; labels do not require scheduled replacement, but prolonged exposure to heat or moisture can reduce tackiness on stored sheets.

At what point will the neon magenta, green, and yellow colours fade under continuous indoor lighting?

The neon pigments are formulated for high visibility under normal office lighting; noticeable fading typically appears only after extended direct sunlight exposure, not from standard indoor fluorescent or LED light.
