What these pockets do and who uses them

Avery 75243 binder pockets are clear polypropylene sleeves that slide into any standard three-ring binder. Each pocket holds up to 20 sheets of letter-size paper without punching or folding. The acid-free, non-stick material protects documents for long-term storage and will not lift printed ink from pages. Sold as a pack of five.

Limits of the three-ring format

The pockets rely on standard three-ring spacing, so they only work in binders that match that hole pattern. Each sleeve is 11 inches high and 9 1/4 inches wide, fixing the maximum sheet size to letter format. Capacity is capped at 20 sheets per pocket; thicker stacks will not fit or may stress the rings. The clear poly construction adds minimal bulk but does not expand.

Installation and common issues

To use, simply open the binder rings and thread the pockets onto them; no tools or adhesives are required. The most frequent problem is overloading a pocket beyond the 20-sheet limit, which can cause the rings to catch or tear the poly edges. Storing the binder overly full may also make pages difficult to turn or remove.
