Everyday marking tool

The Avery Marks-A-Lot 7887 is a permanent marker with a 3/16 inch chisel tip that produces bold, low-odour red ink. It is sold as a pack of 12 and is designed for use on cardboard, metal, plastic and similar surfaces. The quick-drying formula resists water and rubbing once dry.

General purpose users

This pack suits offices, warehouses and classrooms that need a reliable supply of red markers for labelling boxes, signage or colour-coding. It is not for artists who require fine-line detail or archival pigment inks, nor for anyone needing washable or non-permanent ink.

Ready to use

The markers require no additional equipment and can be stored horizontally or vertically. Each unit is AP certified non-toxic, freeing you from special ventilation or disposal concerns. The chisel tip allows both broad and narrow strokes from a single marker.

Questions about this item

What surface should I test first to confirm the Marks-A-Lot 7887 markers write as intended?

Try a piece of cardboard; the bold, low-odor red ink should dry quickly and resist water and rubbing, showing the permanent, non-washable formula is working.

Will the chisel tip on these markers work on the same metal and plastic parts I currently label with finer pens?

Yes, the 3/16" durable chisel tip marks on most surfaces including metal and plastic, giving you a choice of line widths for those existing items.

Do I need any special ventilation or protective gear when using this 12-pack in my existing workspace?

The ink is AP certified nontoxic and low-odor, so no extra ventilation or protective equipment is required for normal office or warehouse use.
