Product Identity

The Avery 79882 is a heavy-duty vinyl binder built for extended office use. A One Touch mechanism opens, closes and locks the rings in a single step. Gap Free construction keeps rings aligned so pages turn smoothly. The locking EZD ring design provides up to 50% more capacity than the same size round ring. DuraHinge cover hinges resist tearing.

Who It Suits

Professionals and students who need a durable reference binder for frequent handling and high-volume filing. The blue vinyl exterior withstands daily wear. The EZD ring shape maximises sheet capacity within the 2-inch spine. Buyers who need a different spine width or a non-locking ring style should consider other options.

Deciding Specification

The locking EZD ring mechanism delivers up to 50% more capacity than an equivalent round ring. This single feature determines whether the binder can hold your document volume. Verify your sheet-count requirement against this capacity advantage before purchasing.

Questions about this item

Will the 50% higher capacity EZD rings on the Avery 79882 hold my existing punched documents without tearing the holes?

The locking EZD rings provide up to 50% more capacity than same-size round rings, and the tear-resistant DuraHinge construction reinforces the spine edge so standard punched pages stay secure during frequent use.

How can I confirm the One Touch mechanism on the Avery 79882 is locking properly after I load it?

Press the single release button; the rings snap shut with an audible click and the lock engages automatically, so you can verify alignment by checking that the rings meet evenly with no gap.

Does the Avery 79882 binder include index dividers or a label sheet, or must I purchase them separately?

The box contains only the blue heavy-duty vinyl binder with EZD rings; index dividers, label inserts and sheet protectors are sold separately.
