Double-sided tape for craft and light mounting

This Avery tape comes as two 6 mm rolls on paper carrier with a permanent acrylic adhesive. It is aimed at hobbyists, teachers and office users who need a clean bond for paper, card, photos and lightweight decorative items. The rolls are hand-tearable so no dispenser is required. Buyers needing structural strength for heavy objects or outdoor exposure should look elsewhere.

6 mm width on paper carrier

The single specification that decides fit is the 6 mm width combined with a paper-based carrier. This narrow profile suits detailed work such as scrapbooking, card making and photo mounting where wider tapes would be visible or bulky. The paper carrier tears cleanly by hand but will not stretch or conform to highly textured or curved surfaces.

Hand-tear convenience and residue-free removal

Because the tape tears without tools, users can work quickly without a cutter or dispenser. The adhesive peels away from most smooth surfaces — wood, metal, glass, painted walls, plastics and fabrics — without leaving a sticky residue, making temporary layouts and repositioning practical. This behaviour changes the workflow from permanent commitment to adjustable assembly.

Questions about this item

How does the 6 mm width perform when I apply it to a project?

Each roll is 6 mm (¼ inch) wide, giving a narrow bond line that works well for detailed tasks such as scrapbooking, card making or mounting photos.

What adhesive standard does the tape meet and what does that limit in practice?

The tape uses a strong paper-based adhesive that bonds to clean, smooth surfaces including wood, metal, glass, paper, paint, many plastics and fabrics, and removes without leaving residue.

What does the tape need to fit or mount on a surface?

Apply to a clean, dry surface; cut or tear the desired length by hand, press firmly, then peel the liner to expose the second adhesive side before joining the materials.
