Compact iron tripod for desktop recording

The Avid 103S desktop tripod stand is built from high-quality iron and weighs 259 grams. Its stable triangle design keeps the centre of gravity low so the stand resists tipping on a table. Height adjusts from 6.29 to 7 inches to suit seated recording positions.

Check mic thread and desk space before ordering

The included clip uses an internal thread with a 3/8" to 5/8" adapter for standard dynamic or USB microphones. Verify your microphone matches this thread size. Ensure the desk can accommodate the footprint of roughly 14.33 by 9.06 inches with one leg forward for balance.

Universal clip adapter and carry bag included

A 3/8" to 5/8" metal adapter screws into the clip so most handheld microphones attach without extra parts. Non-slip feet reduce vibration transfer to the surface. A fleece drawstring bag holds the folded stand and adapter for transport between sessions.

Questions about this item

Does the stand ship with a mic clip and thread adapter or do I need to buy them separately?

The package includes a universal mic clip with a built-in 3/8" to 5/8" metal adapter and a fleece drawstring bag.

Which height setting should I choose for a seated podcast setup?

The stand adjusts from 6.29 to 7 inches so you can set it anywhere in that range to match your microphone and sitting position.

Will the 259 g iron tripod stay put on a slick desk while I record?

The centre of gravity drops when the legs are spread and the non-slip vibration-reducing feet keep it stable on smooth surfaces.
