Stable Tripod Microphone Stand

The Avid CY0239 is a floor-standing tripod boom microphone stand finished in black. Legs extend wider than most designs to keep the microphone secure, while hollow bottom supports distribute weight and reduce vibration. Non-slip foot pads hold the stand in place on stage, in meeting rooms or at home studios. A carrying bag, two universal mic clips and a 3/8" to 5/8" adapter are included.

Height and Boom Adjustment Under Load

Height adjusts from 25.2 to 62.2 inches to suit seated or standing performers. The removable boom arm extends from 16.9 to 30.1 inches and rotates 360 degrees through adjustment knobs for precise positioning. Removing the boom converts the stand into a traditional straight microphone stand without tools. All components store in the supplied bag for transport.

Upgrade From Desktop or Fixed Stands

This stand replaces desktop mounts and fixed-height floor stands when a wider tripod footprint and flexible boom reach are needed. The jump is worth it for users who need quick height changes between 25.2 and 62.2 inches, 360-degree boom rotation and a pack-down size that fits the included bag. Builders who need a second card or buyers who want more storage should consider other solutions.

Questions about this item

How much does the 158 cm Avid CY0239 weigh and does it vibrate on a wooden floor?

The stand weighs 3.5 pounds. Its hollow bottom supports and wider tripod legs distribute weight and reduce vibration, while non-slip foot pads keep it steady on wooden floors.

Which microphone threads and clips are included so I can mount my Shure SM58 straight away?

A 3/8" to 5/8" adapter is supplied, plus two mic clips — barrel style and clothespin style — that fit the SM58, SM48 and similar models without extra parts.

Can I remove the 16.9–30.1 inch boom arm and use the CY0239 as a straight stand for my older Shure SM48?

Yes, the boom arm detaches and the microphone clip attaches directly to the main shaft, converting it to a traditional straight stand for the SM48 or any 5/8"-thread mic.
