Avid MS138 Microphone Stand 30-72 in Tripod Boom Gooseneck Bag

All-in-One Mic Stand for Creators

The Avid MS138 is a 6-in-1 microphone stand that converts between a straight stand, boom arm, and tablet or phone holder. It suits singers, podcasters, streamers, and karaoke hosts who need one piece of gear for multiple recording or live scenarios. The black powder-coated finish and included carrying bag make it practical for both fixed and mobile setups.

Height Range and Stability Limits

The telescopic shaft adjusts from 30 inches to 72 inches, while a flexible gooseneck and 360° rotatable boom arm provide fine positioning for microphones or devices. A triangular base with a 24.4-inch maximum leg span and thickened metal poles supports heavier equipment when the boom is aligned over a leg. It is not for users who need a permanent overhead mounting solution or a desktop-only footprint.

Upgrading from Basic Stands

This model replaces a collection of single-purpose stands, clips, and holders by combining a floor stand, boom, gooseneck, and device mounts in one package. The jump is worth it when you regularly switch between vocal recording, instrument capture, and video streaming. It does not serve buyers who require a dedicated shock mount system or a compact desktop arm without a floor base.
