Scans A3 documents at 90 ppm duplex with a 150-page ADF and ultrasonic double-feed detection
The Avision AD6090 is a duplex colour scanner built for offices that process thousands of pages every day. Its CIS sensor and LED light source capture A3 documents at up to 90 pages per minute or 180 images per minute at 300 dpi. A 150-page automatic document feeder handles standard 80 g/m² paper, and the unit is rated for a daily duty cycle of 20,000 pages. USB 3.1 provides the host connection for Windows XP through Windows 10.
While scanning, the unit emits less than 58 dB, dropping below 25 dB in standby so it stays unobtrusive in shared workspaces. Power is drawn from a universal AC 100–240 V supply at 50 or 60 Hz, with no separate high-wattage adapter required. The dual-lamp design illuminates wrinkled pages evenly without mercury, and hardware jam sensors stop the feed immediately when a misfeed is detected.
The included iScan application adds OCR output to RTF, TXT, DOC, XLS, PPT and their modern XML variants, plus searchable PDF, XPS and HTML. Without the bundle the scanner still produces BMP, PNG, GIF, JPEG, single- and multi-page PDF, TIFF and multi-TIFF files directly. Ultrasonic multi-feed detection uses triple sensors to catch overlapping sheets by length or thickness, and a straight paper path handles plastic or ID cards without bending. Buyers who need network scanning or Mac and Linux drivers will not find them here.

Connect the scanner via the USB 3.1 port, install the Windows driver from the bundled software, then load up to 150 pages of 80 g/m² paper into the ADF; the step often missed is enabling or disabling the ultrasonic double-feed detection for the specific document area before starting the scan job.
The dual mercury-free LED lamps are long-lasting but will eventually require replacement after extended high-volume use; the 150-page ADF rollers and separation pad also wear over time and should be cleaned or swapped when feed reliability drops.
The daily duty cycle of 20,000 pages is the first hard limit; running at the rated 90 ppm / 180 ipm continuously would reach that volume in roughly four hours, so sustained operation must stay below that threshold.
