Eight-port KVM for server rooms

The Avocent SC680-001 SwitchView SC680 is an eight-port rack-mountable KVM switch designed for administrators who manage multiple servers from a single console. It supports up to eight connected computers and one local user, providing keyboard, video, mouse and audio switching in a compact chassis.

Sustained switching at WQXGA resolution

The unit delivers a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1600 at 60 Hz in WQXGA graphic mode, maintaining signal integrity during extended operation. Dual redundant power inputs operating at 50/60 Hz keep the switch running without interruption, while ten USB ports and nine DVI connectors handle continuous peripheral and video traffic across all active channels.

Check rack space and cable reach

Verify that your rack has the mounting depth and clearance for a 1U device before ordering. Ensure the video and USB cables from each server can reach the rear-panel ports without strain, and confirm that your monitors and input devices use DVI and USB interfaces compatible with the switch.
