Desktop storage expansion

The Avolusion PRO5X-WH-12TB-WIN is a 12TB USB 3.0 external hard drive built for Windows desktops and laptops. It arrives pre-formatted with the NTFS file system so it works immediately after connection. The enclosure uses a silent fan-less design and adds capacity without opening the computer case.

Suited for Windows backup and media libraries

This drive suits users who want a simple plug-and-play way to store games, photos, videos and system backups on Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11. It is not for buyers who need macOS or Linux compatibility out of the box, nor for those who require a ruggedised enclosure for frequent transport. The single USB 3.0 interface also means it will not serve workflows that depend on multiple simultaneous host connections.

Deciding specification: 12TB capacity over USB 3.0

The 12 terabyte capacity delivered through a USB 3.0 port is the figure that determines whether this unit meets the storage target. If the required volume is lower or a different interface is mandatory, another product will be necessary.
