Blink Video Doorbell Compatibility

The Awair WET03B2 extender kit works with Blink Video Doorbell models released in 2023 and the newest version. It adds a wireless transmitter plus two plug-in receivers so the chime can be heard throughout the home. The Blink doorbell itself is not included in the package. A wired connection to the doorbell back plate is required for the transmitter.

Wireless Range and Melody Options

The system transmits up to 656 feet, covering large properties including garages and backyards. Users can choose from 58 melodies and adjust volume across five levels. Pairing is handled through the Blink app by holding the volume button for several seconds, and the units arrive pre-paired for quicker setup.

AC/DC and Short-Circuit Trigger Modes

The transmitter supports both AC/DC power and short-circuit trigger operation. Short-circuit mode connects directly to the Blink doorbell button wiring so the existing chime sounds when visitors press the button. This dual-mode design lets the kit adapt to different wiring configurations without extra hardware.

Questions about this item

How much power does the transmitter draw when it runs all day?

The transmitter is powered by a rechargeable battery and connects to the existing wired doorbell circuit, so it does not add a separate mains load.

What existing hardware must I already have for this kit to work?

You need a Blink Video Doorbell (2023 release or newest model) with a wired doorbell button connection for the short-circuit trigger mode.

Will the extender work alongside my original mechanical chime?

Yes, the short-circuit trigger mode connects to the Blink doorbell's wired button terminals, allowing the extender to sound while the original chime remains connected.
