Axiom 10GBASE-CX4 Cable for 3Com

This Axiom direct attach cable carries a 10GBASE-CX4 signal between two CX4 male network connectors. It is built for administrators linking 3Com equipment that uses the CX4 interface over copper. The three-metre length suits rack-to-rack or rack-to-switch runs inside a cabinet.

Length and connector constraints

The cable measures 984.25 ft end to end, fixing the maximum separation between linked ports. Only devices presenting a CX4 male receptacle can attach directly; other interfaces require a media converter or different cable assembly. No other connector types or lengths are supported by this part.

Questions about this item

Is the 300 cm length the right choice for my rack spacing?

The cable is 300 cm long and uses CX4 male connectors on both ends for direct attachment between compatible ports.

What does the 10 Gbps rating mean for actual throughput?

The 10 Gbps rating indicates the signalling rate of the CX4 interface; real-world throughput depends on the linked devices and network load.
