Axiom 330-7604-AX SFP+ Transceiver

This Axiom SFP+ transceiver provides an 8 Gb Fibre Channel link over multi-mode fibre with an LC connector. It suits data-centre technicians and network engineers who need a hot-pluggable optical module for compatible Dell switches or MSA-compliant equipment.

Check switch port type and fibre patch leads

Verify that the target switch port accepts SFP+ form-factor modules and runs at 8 Gb Fibre Channel speed. Confirm the patch cables are multi-mode fibre with LC duplex connectors and that the link distance fits the module's short-wave specification.

Low power draw and silent operation

The module weighs 0.04 kg and draws minimal power typical for SFP+ optics, producing no audible noise because it has no moving parts. RoHS compliance confirms restricted hazardous substances, and the MSA-compliant design ensures reliable thermal performance inside a populated chassis.

Questions about this item

Does the Axiom 330-7604-AX transceiver ship with any cables or mounting hardware, or must they be purchased separately?

The transceiver itself is the only item included; LC duplex patch cables and any required mounting brackets are sold separately.

The supplier title mentions an 8 Gigabit speed — is that the only version available for this part number?

Yes, part number 330-7604-AX is specified for 8 Gigabit Fibre Channel operation; no other speed variant is associated with this MPN.

What does the 8 Gigabit Fibre Channel rating mean for actual throughput when the module is installed in a Dell switch?

It provides a line-rate 8 Gbps Fibre Channel link over multi-mode fibre using the LC interface, limited by the switch port and cable budget.
