Compatible ThinkPad LTE modem

The Lenovo Fibocom L860-GL-16 is a 4G LTE M.2 adapter built for ThinkPad P14s Gen 4, P16 Gen 1, P16 Gen 2 and T14 Gen 4 laptops. It provides cellular connectivity where Wi‑Fi is unavailable or unreliable. The module installs directly into the approved M.2 slot on these platforms. Buyers needing 5G or a different form factor cannot use this card.

Sustained throughput on LTE

The adapter is rated for up to 1 Gbps on LTE networks under continuous load. Real‑world speeds depend on carrier coverage, signal quality and network congestion. Thermal throttling is managed by the host laptop’s cooling design. Users expecting fibre‑level latency or guaranteed bandwidth should plan for a wired alternative.
