Axiom QSFP+ transceiver module black finish 40GBASE-SR-BiDi

Axiom

Axiom 40GBASE-SR-BiDi QSFP+ Transceiver for Cisco network antenna

SKU CH-NYN8-ZHNNB

A 40 Gbps bidirectional QSFP+ transceiver designed for Cisco networking equipment

  • 40 Gbps bidirectional throughput over a single fibre pair
  • QSFP+ form factor fits standard Cisco switch ports
  • New condition ensures full manufacturer specification compliance
  • Designed for Cisco compatibility with the QSFP-40G-SR-BD part number

Axiom 40GBASE-SR-BiDi QSFP+ Transceiver

This new Axiom transceiver delivers 40 Gbps connectivity over multimode fibre using a single LC duplex connector. It is built in the QSFP+ form factor and coded for Cisco switches and routers. The bidirectional design reduces fibre count while maintaining full duplex throughput for short-range data-centre links.

Suits Cisco 40G uplinks.

Network engineers extending Cisco 40G fabric over OM3 or OM4 fibre will find this module a direct fit. Buyers who need longer reach, single-mode support, or compatibility with other vendors should look at different transceiver types.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 40 Gbps BiDi version or a standard 40 Gbps SR4 module?

Choose the BiDi version when your Cisco switch ports and patch cables are wired for single-fibre bidirectional operation; use a standard SR4 module for conventional four-fibre parallel links.

What does the 40 Gbps rating mean once the transceiver is installed in a Cisco switch?

The module delivers a single 40 Gbps lane over one duplex LC fibre pair, so each occupied QSFP+ port provides 40 Gbps of bidirectional throughput without needing an MPO cable.
