  • Designed for F5 platform compatibility

40GBASE-SR4 QSFP+ Module for F5 Switches

This Axiom transceiver delivers 40 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity over multimode fibre using the QSFP+ form factor. It is engineered for compatibility with F5 networking platforms requiring short-range optical links. The module suits data-centre operators and network engineers deploying high-density 40G uplinks or interconnects within a single rack or row.

Sustained 40G throughput over SR4 optics

The SR4 interface uses four parallel fibres per direction to maintain consistent 40G bandwidth across the supported link distance. Because the optical budget is fixed for short-range multimode operation, performance remains stable under continuous load without the signal degradation seen in longer-reach variants. Buyers needing extended reach or single-mode fibre support should select a different module type.

Questions about this item

How much power does the Axiom 40GBASE-SR4 QSFP+ module draw during continuous operation?

The module operates within standard QSFP+ power limits for 40G SR4 optics, drawing minimal power during all-day use.

Which F5 switch models accept this QSFP+ module without additional adapters?

The module is built for F5 platforms that support native 40GBASE-SR4 QSFP+ ports, so it installs directly into compatible slots.
