Provides twelve 100 GbE QSFP28 ports for Arista 7500E chassis, not hot-swappable
This Arista DCS-7500E-12CQ-LC module adds twelve 100GbE QSFP28 ports to a compatible 7500E series chassis. It is built for network engineers expanding high-density 100 gigabit connectivity in data centre core or spine layers. The line card arrives new with firmware updated and all components tested.
Each of the twelve ports accepts a QSFP28 transceiver or direct-attach cable rated for 100GbE operation. The module itself is not hot-swappable, so the chassis must be powered down or the slot taken offline before installation or removal. Cable reach and media type depend entirely on the transceiver chosen; the card does not dictate distance limits.
Verify that the target chassis is an Arista 7500E series model that supports this line card before ordering. Confirm a maintenance window is approved because the module cannot be inserted or removed while the system is running. Ensure enough free slots and adequate power budget remain in the chassis for the additional twelve ports.
