The Axiom QSFP-40G-C7M-AX is a passive twinaxial direct attach cable measuring 22.97 ft in length. It features QSFP+ connectors on both ends for direct network device connections. The cable supports 40G data rates without requiring external power. A lifetime limited warranty is included with the product.

Ideal for short reach network links

Questions about this item

What does the 40 Gbps rating mean once the cable is installed in a network?

The 40 Gbps rating represents the maximum aggregate throughput the passive twinaxial assembly can carry between two QSFP+ ports without active signal conditioning.

How does the QSFP+ interface limit the usable length of this passive direct attach cable?

The QSFP+ passive specification caps reliable operation at 22.97 ft, so this 23 ft assembly runs at the edge of the standard's reach without repeaters.
