Axiom Twinaxial Direct Attach Cable 23 ft

This Axiom passive twinaxial cable spans 22.97 ft and connects a single QSFP+ male port to four SFP+ male ports. It is built for network-device links where a breakout configuration is required. The lifetime warranty covers the cable for as long as you own it.

Breakout upgrade from single-port links

The four-way SFP+ fan-out replaces four individual direct-attach cables when your switch or server has a QSFP+ uplink and you need to serve four separate SFP+ ports. The jump is worth it when rack layout or cable management favours one trunk over four runs, and when a passive copper reach of 22.97 ft satisfies the distance between devices.

Questions about this item

What QSFP+ and SFP+ port spacing does the 23 ft breakout cable need for a clean rack mount?

The cable splits one QSFP+ male connector into four SFP+ male ends, so allow enough clearance for the 22.97 ft twinaxial runs to reach each SFP+ port without sharp bends.

Which end of the passive twinaxial breakout cable plugs in first during installation?

Seat the single QSFP+ male connector into the switch or NIC before snapping the four SFP+ male connectors into their respective ports to avoid stress on the splitter junction.
