Ultra-Slim Protection for 67 mm Lenses

The B+W 007 Clear Protection Filter fits 67 mm threads and uses a T-Pro titanium-colour mount that sits just 7 mm thick. It is designed to stay on the lens permanently without adding visible colour shift or measurable light loss. Photographers who want a neutral guard for expensive glass will find it suitable.

Coating Behaviour in Daily Use

The 16-layer MRC nano coating repels water, oil and dust so fingerprints wipe off with less pressure. Reflections stay extremely low even when shooting toward bright highlights. The thin brass ring threads smoothly and does not bind on wide-angle barrels down to 17 mm full-frame coverage.

What the Coating and Mount Change

The hydrophobic surface reduces cleaning frequency and the risk of micro-scratches during field work. The low-profile titanium ring prevents vignetting on ultra-wide zooms that would catch a standard frame. Buyers who need a filter with a visible warming or contrast effect should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the 67 mm T-Pro filter on my lens without cross-threading the ultra-slim titanium frame?

Align the threads carefully, turn the filter clockwise until it seats flush, then give a gentle final twist — the thin 7 mm profile leaves little room for error, so never force it.

What cleaning routine keeps the 16-layer MRC nano coating effective against dirt and water over time?

Blow off loose dust, then wipe with a microfibre cloth slightly dampened with lens fluid; the nano layer resists smudges but still needs regular gentle cleaning to stay clear.

At what focal length does vignetting first appear on a full-frame sensor with this 17 mm clearance filter?

Vignetting can start around 17 mm on full-frame; the 7 mm slim mount minimises the effect, but ultra-wide angles may still show corner darkening.
