Master Clear MRC Nano Filter

The B+W Master Clear MRC Nano 007M is a 62mm protective glass filter designed for photographers and videographers who want permanent front-element protection without altering image quality. Its colour-neutral, highly transparent construction adds no filter effect or light loss, making it suitable for constant use on compatible lenses.

Thermals and Power

As a passive optical accessory, the filter generates no heat, consumes no power and produces no audible noise during operation. It simply mounts to the lens filter thread and remains inert, so there are no thermal or electrical considerations for normal shooting conditions.

Bundled Benefits

The black knurled thin-profile mount improves grip for easier attachment and removal, even with gloves. MRC Nano coating repels water, dust and dirt while keeping reflections extremely low. An included QR code lets you verify product authenticity, and the packaging uses eco-friendly materials.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 62mm filter and what step do people get wrong?

Screw the filter onto the lens threads until snug; the common mistake is over-tightening the thin black knurled mount, which can make removal difficult.

What maintenance or replacement will the MRC Nano coating need later?

The coating repels water and dust, so only occasional gentle cleaning with a microfibre cloth is required; it does not wear off under normal use.

At what focal length does vignetting first appear on a full-frame sensor?

Vignetting can start at 17 mm full-frame equivalent when the filter is stacked with other accessories.
