Baldwin 48 LED IR Illuminator 12W 110V IP65 Silver Aluminum

Baldwin 48 LED IR Illuminator 12W

The Baldwin 48 LED IR Illuminator delivers invisible infrared light for security cameras in low-light conditions. It operates at 110V and draws 12 watts through 48 LEDs housed in a silver aluminum rectangle. The unit carries UL Listed and CSA Certified ratings plus an IP65 seal against dust and water ingress. It suits installers adding night vision to CCTV systems at doorways, gates or parking areas.

Sustained outdoor operation

The weatherproof aluminum housing maintains IP65 protection during continuous night-time use. A built-in CDS sensor activates the array only when ambient light falls below 10 lux, preventing unnecessary runtime and heat buildup. Power comes from an external DC 12V 1A adapter, separating the supply from the sealed fixture for cooler long-term performance. This automatic on-off cycle extends LED life across repeated dusk-to-dawn cycles.

Upgrade from basic IR floodlights

The illuminator replaces single-LED or non-weatherproof floodlights that lack automatic lux control or certified sealing. The jump is worth it when a site needs reliable, hands-free activation across changing light conditions without manual switching. Buyers who need colour night vision or visible deterrent lighting should look elsewhere, as this unit emits only invisible infrared.
