Baldwin 82-7879 Folding Stool

The Baldwin 82-7879 is a backless folding stool that stands 18 inches high and supports up to 225 pounds. Its steel frame and padded PVC seat provide a compact seating option for kitchens, rec rooms or temporary guest overflow. The stool folds to a two-inch thickness for storage in tight spaces. It is intended for indoor use only.

Thermals noise and power draw

This product has no electrical components, so it produces no heat, noise or power draw. The padded seat can be wiped clean with a damp cloth and soapy water, then dried completely before the next use. No thermal management or power supply is required.

Upgrade from floor seating or fixed stools

The stool replaces sitting on the floor or using bulky fixed chairs when extra guests arrive. The jump is worth it when you need a lightweight, portable seat that stores flat in a closet or under a bed. It does not suit buyers who need a backrest, a swivel mechanism or outdoor-rated materials.

Questions about this item

How do I unfold the Baldwin 82-7879 stool and what step do people miss?

Pull the seat up until the steel frame locks fully open; the step most users skip is confirming both side braces click into place before sitting.

What part of the 82-7879 will need replacement first with regular use?

The PVC padded cushion shows wear before the 1 mm steel tubing; wipe with a damp cloth and dry completely to extend its life.

What limit appears first when the 18 in stool is used continuously at its 225 lb rating?

The 1 mm thick steel frame reaches its structural limit before the cushion compresses, so avoid sustained loads at the maximum capacity.
