Indoor Motion-Sensor Lamp Holder

The Baldwin PIR socket screws into any standard E26 or E27 fitting and converts a regular bulb into an automatic light. It is rated for 60 W maximum load and accepts 100 to 240 V AC, so it works on 110 V or 230 V supplies. Designed for indoor locations such as basements, pantries, storerooms and corridors, it requires an open shade facing downwards because glass blocks the sensor.

Adjustable Time and Lux Controls

Two onboard dials let you tailor behaviour without tools: the Time button sets how long the lamp stays on from 10 seconds up to 5 minutes, and the Lux button defines the ambient threshold between 3 and 2000 lux so the light only activates when needed. The passive infrared detector covers 360 degrees and reaches 12 feet when mounted 8 feet high, drawing negligible standby power while waiting for motion.

Sustained Operation in Enclosed Spaces

Because the unit must sit in an open fixture facing down, heat from the lamp dissipates freely and the sensor maintains its 6 metre detection range during continuous cycles. The adjustable delay prevents rapid re-triggering in busy corridors, and the wide voltage tolerance keeps performance stable across 110 V and 230 V circuits without flicker or premature shutdown.
