Radial Cable Traction Chain Set

The Baldwin SC1036 set includes two radial cable chains designed for winter driving traction. They were originally developed to reduce sidewall wear on radial tyres while providing grip on snow and ice. The package measures 14 inches in length and weighs five pounds.

Radial Chain Cable Design

The single specification that determines fit is the radial chain cable construction, which wraps the tyre tread with steel cable links rather than traditional ladder links. This design targets the flex characteristics of radial tyres to minimise sidewall damage during installation and use.

Drivers Needing Low-Profile Cable Chains

Suits motorists who need a compact, easy-to-install cable chain set for occasional winter conditions and want to protect radial tyre sidewalls. Not for buyers who require heavy-duty ladder-style link chains for severe off-road use, or those needing chains rated for sustained highway speeds beyond the manufacturer's guidelines.
