Kit identity

The Bandai HG 1/144 Gundam Double X is a High Grade model kit of the GX-9901-DX mobile suit from After War Gundam X. It is aimed at hobbyists who enjoy snap-fit assembly and want an accurate representation of the Twin Satellite Cannon upgrade at an accessible scale.

Bundled weapons and effect parts

The box includes a buster rifle, two beam swords with detachable beam-effect parts, and a composite shield. Clear parts form the microwave receiver sensor, while the twin satellite cannons and solar collectors can be deployed or collapsed to recreate the mobile suit’s signature firing sequence.

Build quality and joint system

Color-coded runners and a modern snap-fit frame allow tool-free assembly suitable for builders of any experience level. The shared construction architecture enables parts swapping with other kits in the line, and articulated joints support a wide range of dynamic poses once the model is complete.

Questions about this item

Will the twin Satellite Cannons need replacement parts after repeated deployment?

The cannons are moulded in coloured plastic and designed to fold repeatedly without spare components.

What limits how long I can keep the model displayed with the solar collectors fully extended?

The joints hold the deployed position securely; no mechanical limit prevents permanent display.

Does the kit generate any heat or noise when the beam sword parts are attached for long periods?

This is a static plastic model with no electronics, so it produces no heat or noise.
