PS4 aerial combat game

Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown places players in the cockpit of advanced war planes on PlayStation 4. The title targets fans of arcade-style flight action who want photorealistic skies and an immersive storyline. It also includes exclusive missions built for PlayStation VR hardware. Buyers seeking a hardcore military flight simulator with complex avionics management will not find that depth here.

Cloud rendering and campaign scope

The game renders cloud-filled skies and detailed cityscapes across a 20-year franchise history setting. Players access a multitude of authentic and futuristic aircraft with ultra-modern super weapons. The single-player campaign delivers intense dog-fighting action within the alternative Strangereal universe. Content runs out for players who want persistent online progression beyond the provided multiplayer modes.

PlayStation VR exclusive missions

PlayStation 4 owners with a PS VR headset gain additional missions developed specifically for virtual reality. These missions increase immersion by placing the player directly inside the cockpit view. Without the VR hardware the extra missions cannot be accessed. The standard game remains fully playable on a standard PlayStation 4 console.
