The Banner QS18VP6LVQ8 is a retroreflective photoelectric sensor designed for industrial automation and machine-safety applications. It detects objects up to 6.5 m using a visible red LED beam at 630 nm. The rectangular ABS housing measures 18 mm in barrel diameter and carries an M18 mounting thread. It operates on 10-30 V dc and provides complementary solid-state PNP outputs.

Integral M12 quick-disconnect and potentiometer

A four-pin M12 Euro-style quick-disconnect connector is built into the housing, allowing fast cable attachment without tools. Sensitivity is set by an on-board potentiometer so the sensing threshold can be tuned for the target surface. The sensor supports both light-operate and dark-operate modes selectable during setup. No remote-teach or timing functions are included.

Simple M18 mount with IP67 and NEMA 6 rating

The sensor threads into a standard M18 hole and is sealed to IP67 and NEMA 6, resisting water ingress and dust in wash-down environments.
