Long-range photoelectric receiver

The Banner QS30ARX is a rectangular opposed-mode receiver with a 30 mm M30 mounting barrel. It detects an infrared beam at distances up to 213 m and operates on a 10-30 V dc supply. The housing is thermoplastic with a Zeonex lens and carries NEMA 6 and IP67 ratings for harsh environments.

Sensing capacity and limits

The unit provides a maximum sensing distance of 213 000 mm using an 875 nm infrared LED beam. Bipolar NPN and PNP outputs switch in light-operate mode with a 5 ms response time and 5 000 µs repeatability. Operating temperature spans -20 °C to 70 °C with 95 % relative humidity at 50 °C; it has no remote-teach or water-detection functions.

Construction and daily integration

A fixed 2 m cable with five conductors exits the sensor, eliminating a quick-disconnect fitting. The M30 threaded barrel allows direct panel or bracket mounting without extra hardware. A built-in bargraph indicator gives immediate alignment feedback during installation and routine checks.
