The Banner QS30FF400Q is a rectangular background-suppression sensor with a 30 mm barrel and M30 mount. It detects objects at a fixed 400 mm range using a visible red LED at 680 nm wavelength. The thermoplastic housing carries an integral M12 5-pin Euro quick-disconnect and operates on 10-30 V dc supply voltage. Two discrete outputs provide both NPN and PNP switching in a single device.

Installers needing a single fixed sensing point

This unit suits applications where the detection distance must stay constant at 400 mm without teach-in or potentiometer adjustment. The bipolar output simplifies wiring when the controller type is not yet fixed. Buyers who need an adjustable sensing field or remote-teach capability should look at a different model.
