Banner QS30LLP Long-Range Laser Sensor 0.2-18 m 10-30 V dc IP67 electrician tool

Industrial long-range laser sensor

The Banner QS30LLP is a polarised retroreflective sensor designed for automation engineers who need reliable presence detection up to 18 m. It operates on a 10 to 30 V dc supply and provides both NPN and PNP discrete outputs in a single housing. The visible red Class 1 laser produces a small spot for precise alignment. An M30 threaded barrel allows direct mounting on standard brackets.

Sustained-operation reliability

The thermoplastic housing meets IP67 and NEMA 6, so the sensor withstands wash-down and temporary immersion without ingress. Operating temperature spans -10 °C to 50 °C at up to 95 percent relative humidity. A 0.5 ms response time and 70 µs repeatability remain stable over continuous duty cycles. The 2 m cable eliminates connector failure points in high-vibration machinery.

18 m polarised retroreflective range

The maximum sensing distance of 18 000 mm is the decisive figure for applications such as conveyor end-stop or pallet detection. Polarised optics reject shiny targets that defeat standard retroreflective sensors. Remote teach and a bargraph indicator simplify set-up without a separate programmer. Buyers who need longer range or background suppression must select a different sensing principle.
